We believe that every child has a right to the best possible education.

In order to achieve this, we work tirelessly to ensure that every child's individual needs are met, talents are nurtured and successes are celebrated.

We support children to be the very best they can be.

This is through highly committed teaching and support staff who provide and develop an exciting and relevant curriculum.

Equality, British Values and Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development

Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development (SMSC) is at the heart of what we do at Hazelmere to ensure we provide our children with more than just an education.

Through our Core Values, our ethos and our rich curriculum we promote SMSC to enable children to build their own personal values, have positive relationships with others and to make them aware of the variety of opportunities and experiences that life can hold thus developing their aspirations.

Our provision for pupils’ Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development at this early stage of their education will contribute to them becoming responsible young citizens in society as will the support we offer children to engage with British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and respect for different faiths and beliefs.

Equality - Our aims

  • Create a positive school ethos where everyone feels they belong
  • Teach children to be proud of who they are while recognising and celebrating difference and diversity
  • Develop resilience in children
  • Prepare children for life in modern Britain
  • Teach children about the Equality Act 2010 and British Values
  • Reduce vulnerability to radicalisation and extremism
